Peer Support
What is different about our peer support group from others?
The Irons Foundation, Front Bumper Conversations, connects you with other first responders who HAVE overcome the impact of stressful and traumatic events. Additionally, mission support staff are UNIQUELY qualified to assist first responders through increased awareness, empathic responses, and personal validation.
Statistics indicate that peer support programs have HIGHER participation and SUCCESS rates than Employee Assistance Programs and outside mental health resources.

The Irons Foundation peer support mission includes the following objectives:

-
Serve as a resource during times of crisis.
-
Provide a place to discuss daily life stressors.
-
Foster emotional health.
-
Demonstrate and provide encouragement and trust.
-
Identify problem signs and symptoms that may indicate the need for options and referrals to outside mental health resources.
